Frequently Asked Questions

What engines do you service? +
We service gasoline port fuel injectors and GDI (gasoline direct injection) injectors for outboard engines from 40HP to 350HP. That covers Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, and Tohatsu — top feed, side feed, GDI, and Mercury Optimax air injectors. We don't currently service diesel injectors or Evinrude E-TEC. Not sure about your engine? Send us a message and we'll let you know.
How do I pack my injectors for shipping? +
Wrap each injector individually so they don't contact each other during transit. Bubble wrap, foam, or even newspaper or paper towels work fine. Place them in a box with padding on all sides. Include the PDF form if you chose that option. If you used our paperless shipping form, we already have your info on file.
How long until I get them back? +
Most orders are completed within 2 business days of receipt — that's from the day we open your package to the day your injectors ship back. Add transit time on each end depending on your location and shipping method. If we need to contact you about anything (injectors already in spec, specialty parts needed), that may add a day or two.
Do I have to pay upfront? +
No. You receive a single invoice after your injectors are cleaned, tested, and ready to ship back. The invoice covers everything: service, parts, inbound shipping (if you used our paperless option), and return shipping with $1,000 insurance. We send invoices through Stripe and accept all major credit cards. See our Pricing & Policy page for a full breakdown.
What if my injectors can't be cleaned? +
Some injectors are past the point of cleaning — internal wear, damaged coils, cracked bodies. No amount of ultrasonic cleaning fixes that. If we find an injector that's not recoverable, we'll tell you which one it is, label it clearly, and help you source the right replacement. You'll only be charged for the work we actually did.
Do you replace parts during service? +
Yes — every injector gets new o-rings, seals, and filter baskets as needed. All parts are itemized on your invoice at cost. We're talking five to ten dollars max per set for most common injectors.
Is my shipment insured? +
All return shipments include $1,000 declared value insurance through UPS Ground. If you need to declare a higher value, contact us and we'll work with you on additional coverage. For inbound shipments using our paperless UPS option, $1,000 insurance is also included.
What if I need to send more than 8 injectors? +
No problem. We handle orders of any size — twin engine rigs, multi-boat fleets, marina bulk orders. Just note the total count on your shipping form and pack them so each set is labeled by engine. Contact us directly for bulk or marina pricing.
